Cylindrical tanks were mounted to railway wagon chassis by several methods, the mounting becoming steadily more robust as designs were developed. The anchor mounting uses strong central brackets to connect the tank section with the chassis solebars in the central portion of the chassis between the axles. This design was introduced in the 1930s and a large numbee of these anchor mounted oil tanks were built before and during WW2 for the air ministry. After WW2 these wagons were sold to the oil companies, so this design of tank wagon formed the primary post-war oil wagon fleet until larger 35 and 45 ton designs appeared in the 1960s.

Cadburys had set up their chocolate manufacturing plant at Bourneville, Birmingham due to the good connections by railway and canal with ports to the south importing cocoa and collieries to the north to supply coal for the boilers. The company operated an internal railway network and owned a number of wagons to ensure a steady supply of coal was available without needing to pay demurrage fees for wagons held awaiting unloading.

Detailed models of the BR air conditioned express passenger stock built from the early 1970s. BR was one of the first European railways to offer air conditioned accommodation as standard on principal services.

These models are of the Mk.2F coaches, the last of the Mk.2 series build (1973-1975) and almost identical to preceding Mk.2E coaches (1972-73 build), the design changes relating primarily to the air conditioning plant. These two builds formed the backbone of the InterCity locomotive-hauled coach fleet during the 1970s and 80s.

This model of the second class brake coach with open plan seating is painted in the InterCity swallow livery.
Era 8 1982-1994.

Travelling Post Office trains were formed with two special types of vehicles, designed to ensure the secure transport of the mail and sorting while on the move.
The obvious sorting vans, type POS (for Sorting) have already been produced by Bachmann. This model is of the other type, the stowage van, originally known to the post office as a Tender, hence the POT designation. The introduction of this model allows model TPO trains to be formed up with an appropriate selection of vehicles comprising sorting, stowage and parcels vans in matching liveries.

The POT stowage vans were used to provide for the secure storage of mail in sacks. Initially the vans would be loaded with unsorted mail, but steady progress in the sorting van would fill sacks and full sacks of sorted mail would be moved to the stowage van ready for delivery.
The coaches had wide doorways with recesses on each side. Originally these would have accomodated the arms for dropping mail from the moving train. Using the side doors on the stowage van was preferable as the inrush of cold air would not then affect the majority of the crew in the sorting vehicles.

This model is painted in the BR blue and grey livery carried from the late 1960s until the mid 1980s.
Era 6-7 1967-1982.
