The transporter, affectionately nicknamed "Bulli" by its fans, went into serial production in March 1950. Different Models were produced, among them the panel van, Even today these sturdy transport vehicles are still a favorite among vintage car enthusiasts all over the world.
A model construction kit of the VW T1 Transporter van which was built from the early 1950s onwards.
The van with its typical V-shaped front end and split windscreen was powered by the air-cooled four-cylinder boxer engine, well known from the Beetle.
It produced 30 bhp which gave a top speed of 80 km/h.
