Z section has two faces at right angles to the main section width, each pointing in the opposing direction. A less commonly used section it is however ideal for some purposes like floor and wall supports, as holes for fasteners can be drilled through both flanges of the Z without the opposite flange getting in the way. This feature can also be useful for getting in with the adhesive during model building.
