Right handed version of the GWR diagram E131 9 compartment suburban composite coach design.
These coaches were built along with the diagram D98 brake third coaches to form 4 coach sets. The coaches were built 'handed' to place the brake sections at the outer ends and place the first class portion of both composites in the centre of the train while keeping the equipment and fittings on the same sides of all the coaches.
