Hattons OO H4-BH-011 Network Rail ZZA ADB966098 Beilhack Snow Plough Black, Yellow Plough
German snow plough builders Beilhack supplied several large plough blades to British Rail in the early 1980s, designed to be mounted directly on the headstock or bufferbeam of a locomotive. However this prevented the locomotive from being used in general service so BR later mounted the ploughs permanently to the substantial bogies from scrapped class 40 or 45 locomotives, suitably ballasted to allow their use as independent snow ploughs.
Snow plough ADB966098 was constructed using a class 45 bogie and is modelled in Network Rail black livery with yellow end and snow plough blade.
