Hattons OO H4-BH-006 BR NSE ZZA ADB966099 Beilhack Snow Plough Engineers Yellow
German snow plough builders Beilhack supplied several large plough blades to British Rail in the early 1980s, designed to be mounted directly on the headstock or bufferbeam of a locomotive. However this prevented the locomotive from being used in general service so BR later mounted the ploughs permanently to the substantial bogies from scrapped class 40 or 45 locomotives, suitably ballasted to allow their use as independent snow ploughs.
Snow plough ADB966099 was constructed using a class 45 bogie and is modelled in BR engineers yellow livery with Network South East branding.
