Bachmann 47-539 O Gauge Platform Tractors pack of 2

Until the 1990s Britains railways carried large volumes of mail and parcels every day. Major railway stations were provided with fleets of platform trolleys with couplings at both ends to allow the trolleys to be formed into 'trains' and hauled along the platform by a battery powered tractor. When not in use the tractors were usually left parked together at charging points so the batteries were kept topped up.
