Bachmann OO 34-327E LMS 50ft Parcels Van LMS Crimson Lake
A very good model of the LMS 50-foot long gangwayed parcels brake van painted in the LMS crimson lake livery. These vehicles were seen all over the railway network, as parcels vans worked regularly to destinations away from the LMS. Era 4. 1948-1956
As the major railway companies expanded their networks, taking over smaller concerns there was a steady increase in co-operative operations. Regular services were established across the company boundaries to provide direct services. Coaches and parcels vans were supplied by the companies involved, usually in proportion to the distance traveled other their system. Parcels vans from all of the big four companies in the inter-war years could be seen from Penzance to Thurso.
