Easy to assemble and aerodynamically efficient the Swift hand-thrown 'chuck' glider is produced by Stroud based aircraft propeller manufacturers Hercules Propellers.
This balsawood glider has been designed with aerodynamic principals in mind, the wing features a designed aerofoil shaping and washout providing aerodynamic lift and stability for good flying characteristics. A nose ballast weight is supplied to establish a steady glide profile.
The assembly instuctions include a breif illustrated guide to the theory of flight and set-up tips to achieve straight flight. The instruction also suggest experiments with the wing positioing anf temporary weights to adjust the flight performance.
