Revell 1/72 03176 German 17cm Kanone 18

Appearing in 1942, the "17cm Kanone 18" was, with the "21cm Morser 18" the mainstay of the German heavy artillery during WW2. It used nearly the same carriage as the "21cm Morser 18" with double recoil brake, acting on the tube and on the upper carriage. To set the gun in battery, the base plate was lowered and maintained with spades, the wheels were lifted and the limber was removed. With an elevation range between 0 and +50 degrees and the 8.529 mm tube, it had a maximum range of 28.000 metres.
