Coastlines CL-TE02a Calshot, a Tug/Tender used at Southampton & the Clyde in WW2 1/1250
Built in 1929 to service the ocean liners at Southampton, Calshot is modelled here as she appeared during WW2 as a tender to the trooping Queens Mary & Elizabeth on the Clyde. Originally, Calshot had been sent north to meet HMS Prince of Wales on her return from taking Winston Churchill to meet President Roosevelt but the Prime Minister preferred to return to the UK by air and hitched a lift on a seaplane rather than be collected by Calshot from the battleship and being taken to Glasgow to get to London by train! Prince of Wales returned from Canada directly to Scapa Flow.
There is a picture of Calshot assisting the Hospital Ship "Atlantis" at Netley Hospital (Southampton) in this livery.
