The camouflage scheme applied to HMS Trumpeter was unusual in that it was a low contrast pattern. She appears to have worn this pattern from commissioning until 1945 including the time spent escorting Artic convoys and the Royal Navy attack on Tirpitz, Operation Goodwood. Trumpeter was part of the attacking force. We understand that the wooden deck on Trumpeter had been stained blue in the USA before she was commissioned but the previous owner has finished this model with a new teak coloured deck, see photograph.
