From the second Battle of Narvik to the Walcheran landings, Warspite was in harms way! She was worn out at the end of WW2 and an early candidate for scrapping but she broke her tow enroute for the breakers and grounded in Prussia Cove. Partially dismantled on the spot, the hulk was dragged into Mounts Bay near Marazion from where the steel scrap could be carted away.
