Peco N Code 55 Finescale Track

Peco Streamline code 55 track is designed to provide a lower rail section appearance, closer to a scale sized rail. A special rail section has been used, with part of the rail set into the sleepers, maintaining the strength and durability of the rail. The rail will also connect directly code 80 trackwork using the same rail joiners. SL300F features a flexible moulded sleeper base representing the wood sleepers.

These additional sleepers have been moulded to accommodate rail joiners, allowing regularly spaced sleepers to be continued beneath rail joints. Wood sleepers match the Streamline SL300F wood sleepered flexitrack.

A useful 3-way point to be added to the Peco N gauge finescale track range using the code 55 rail.
These points allow for routes to diverge on both sides of the straight route within a length little greater than a single point. Ideal for cutting the length of yard ladder pointwork.

Peco Unifrog design crossing has an insulated metal crossing nose which acts as insulated frog but is supplied with an attached wire for connecting to power feed as a live or electrofrog point.
Length 137mm 5 3/8in. Diverging angle 10 degrees. Peco quote this point as being nominal 18in radius, it is believed that it is actually 24in radius.

The double slip combines a two points into a crossing, allowing trains entering from either track to exit directly ahead, or diverge onto the other track. These can be a useful space saver in yards and station approaches.

An impressive piece of trackwork which incorporates four turnouts and a crossing. The scissors crossover allowed trains from either track to cross to the other track and was often found at the entry to terminus stations, allowing trains to access platforms on both sides of a double track line and be routed onto the correct track on departure. This can be difficult to assemble from individual track components, so this pre-assembled crossover is a great help!
