Peco OO ST-271 Setrack Uncoupling Ramp

Sprung uncoupling ramp for use with tension lock type couplings.

These uncoupler ramps allow remote uncoupling of tension lock type couplers. The couplings have a catch on the hook which prevents uncoupling when the train is drawn forwards over the ramp. To uncouple simply stop the train with the required couplings over the ramp and reverse, releasing the couplings. The sprung ramp presses up on the coupler pins, raising the hook arms and the front portion of the train can be hauled away.
To re-couple simply push the train back together, then continue until the couplings are clear of the ramp. The hooks will fall and re-engage the couplings.
