Working Signals

Part of the Ratio 'Quick Assembly' family of signals. These allow you to make home and distant signals quickly and easily. They include signal operating wire and lever. This kit enables you to replicate a GWR Home Signal. Kit includes pre-coloured signal arm, glue and paints required to complete model.

A pack of 12 x 3-lamp weathered-aspect plug and play signals in 4mm scale (OO), complete with control board and accessories.

The DCD-MGS-BR is the classic 3-lamp ground signal. It was first introduced in the mid 1930’s and spread far and wide. Most are still in use today. This makes it a great choice for layouts of many prototypes and periods. The STEAM era version has a slightly yellower “White” aspect, as ground signals in that period were often covered with tar-based “weathering” from steam locomotive induced pollution.

Lattice posts were often constructed using four light steel angle section, these being braced together with a lattice of flat steel pieces, increasing the strength and rigidity of the combined structure at a modest cost in materials.

The ladder style post was of simpler construction than the lattice style but required two more substantial vertical members, either made from old rail or C, I or H steel section. Similar posts could also be cast in concrete.

These shorter posts were often used as platform starter signals, the lowered signal arm being placed closer to the drivers' normal line of vision and visible to the guard when viewed from below a platform canopy.

Fixed to a short length of code 100 track with a fishplate for joining to sectional or flexible track the buffer stop is ready to instal. This wireless version is designed to run from the DCC track power supply.
