A detailed and ready painted model of a standard Midland Railway and LMS water tower, mounted on a brick-built base/storage building. These tanks were a commercial product formed of panels which could be bolted together, allowing the tank capacity to be easily matched with the expected demands for water from locomotives and station facilities.
An example of this type of water tower can still be seen at Ashchurch station on the former Midland / LMS Cheltenham to Birmingham line.
Width 70mm x Depth 115mm
