The LNER constructed a slightly larger 6 plank bodied open wagon for general merchandise service, in place of the 5 plank body favoured by LMS and GWR companies. The LNER design used the RCH wood chassis far longer than the other companies who changed to the stronger steel frame design, resulting in the LNER wagons being quite easily identifiable. This model from Oxford Rail provides modellers with a good and detailed model of these LNER wagons for the first time.
