Bachmann 37-225H OO Gauge 16T Mineral Wagon BR Grey With Top Flap Doors
Each suffix letter indicates a new running number produced for this very common wagon. This version has been weathered to help recreate the battle-scars incurred by wagons in coal and mineral service.
A very good model of the standard BR 16-ton steel mineral wagon, one of the most common of the BR standard designs. Over 200,000 of these wagons were built during the 1940s and 50s to replace wooden wagons used for coal and mineral traffic, representing almost half of the traditional small size wagons built for British Railways before the change to larger, modern air-braked wagons.
These robust steel bodied wagons lasted will into the 1980s and are a key signature type for BR steam or blue diesel era layouts.
