Bachmann OO 39-004 BR Mk1 ScotRail Coach Pack 1 SK 1 BSK Blue & Grey Livery with ScotRail branding
The branding of rolling stock used on internal services within Scotland was one of the first examples of sector individuality under British Rail. The use of the ScotRail brand provided a good identification and marketing tool for the scenic highland routes, which attracted significant tourist tarffic.
During the early 1980s the fleet of BR mark 1 coaches provided the backbone of non-express services and this type of coach was standard on the highland line routes. This pack provides two coaches and the basic core for a train formation to the farthest reaches of the British Rail network, where 2-coach and even mixed trains with goods wagons and passenger coaches remained common in the 1980s.
Typical traction on these routes included class 25, 26, 27, 37 and 37/4 locomotives. Era 8. 1982-1994
