Bachmann's nicely detailed model of the highly successful Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 finished in the popular lined brunswick green livery that was applied to a number of these locomotives.
The model features a locomotive mounted motor, fully detailed pipework and valve gear and 46526 is in lined green, completed with a weathered finish. This loco was one of the later engines that was fitted with slightly larger cylinders than the earlier members of the class.
This locomotive was based at Gloucester and is well known for working many Gloucestershire branch lines, including the Dursley Branch, where 46526 was frequently recorded on film hauling the branch passenger train consisting of a single brake third coach and a box van! The line did retain significant freight traffic to and from RA Listers' factory, so the crew would use a bit more of the class 2 moguls' power at times.
