The superbly detailed Hornby model of the Bulleid light pacific type locomotive in original condition with air smoothed streamline casing finished in an unusual early British Railways livery. Battle of Britain class pacific 21C159 Sir Clive Sinclair is finished in 1948 style, still carrying her last Southern Railway number, 21C indicating 2 leading and 1 trailing axle with 3 (C) powered axles, followed by the locomotives' number of 159. The engine wears the Southern Railways' malachite green livery with yellow striping. The tender has been relettered BRITISH RAILWAYS using the Southerns' 'sunshine' lettering style. Many locomotives repainted in 1948 were lettered 'British Railways' before the new British Transport Commission agreed on the 'unicycling lion' logo for the nationalised railways and transfers were available. Agreement on the 'British Railways' locomotive livery and numbering system took even longer, so locomotives carrying their previous owners' final paint schemes and numbers continued to run into the early 1950s.
