Bachmann have announced that an 03 shunter in NCB livery will be joining the range, partially in place of the 04 originally planned. This locomotive is painted in a plain black livery with end wasp stripes for visibility. D2199 was sold to NCB in 1974 after being overhauled and fitted with air brakes, required for shunting the HAA hopper wagons used on merry-go-round power station coal trains. The locomotive worked at Rockingham, North Gawber and Royston until being placed into store at Monkton in 1984. Purchased for preservation by the Heritage Shunters Trust D2199 was returned to BR green livery D2199 has also seen further commercial service on hire to Hanson Aggregates Machen Quarry (Newport) during the mid-2000s.
