2-car BR Metropolitan-Cammell class 101 Diesel Multiple Unit in Network South East multi-stripe livery.
Introduced in the 1950's these DMU's replaced steam passenger trains on branch lines and local services across the country. The ability to couple these trains together to form longer trains when needed with just one driver and guard made these units very flexible in service. The last units of this type were still in passenger service in 2000 and several sets have been preserved.
Era 8. DCC Ready. 6-pin decoder required for DCC operation.
