The lighthouse wore the red and white candy striping pattern from around the 1880s until the 1980s when it was automated and de-manned. The reef is modelled on a thin, transparent, flexible plastic film to show the extent of the rocky islets at low tide (size approximately 15cm x 10cm by 4.5cm high).
