BR Crimson & Cream

Bachmann Branchline 39-052E OO Gauge BR Mk.1 SO Second Class Open Coach Crimson & Cream Livery
A finely detailed model of the British Railways mark 1 second class coach with open plan seating painted in the initial BR crimson and cream livery.
Open plan seating became more popular in the years after WW2, family groups found the tables useful as they could sit together eat packed lunches at their seats, etc. Most trains built since the 1960s have been fitted with open plan seating layouts and many of these second open coaches are still in service on heritage railways.
Bachmann have produced an excellent model of these long-lived coaches with separately fitted handrails, water pipes and many other details. Era 4
