Royal Navy ships in the post-WW2 era. Many wartime ships were modernised to improve capability while new designs were worked up to meet the new challenges of nuclear weapons and missiles.
A 1/1250 scale model of the lead ship, of the Daring class of super destroyers, that entered service in 1952 by Albatros SM Alk302.
HMS Daring was built at Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson on the Tyne. To improve the AA capability of these big destroyers a main armament of 6x4.5" guns was fitted.
